I'm a Dad
Sometimes it's still crazy to me that I'm a dad raising two young girls (1 and 3). It's surreal when I stop and think about it.
There's a part of me that's still that 7 year old that thinks Power Rangers was the coolest thing ever. There's the 11 year old that wishes Pokemon were real. The 13 year old that wants to be liked by others. The 16 year old that wants to be popular. The 18 year old that finally found his group. The 24 year old who could meet up at the bar every Tuesday. The finally fit 28 year old. The 32 year old who seemed to finally be climbing the career ladder.
I'm a different person at 37, and yet I still feel all these past selves deep (and sometimes not so deep) inside of me. I'm hoping it's ok to share them with my daughters to show them what growing up might look like.
